Back to school
All Kids look forward to new bags, shoes and uniforms when starting a new school term or session. That's why Zoe Children's Home has partnered with religious and educational organizations in our community to meet the need for children whose families may not be able to provide them with these vital commodities. School bags and lunch boxes that may no longer be the main attraction in your household can be the bee's knees for another family. So far we have been able to reach over 200 families at 5 events and are looking forward to doing it again. Please reach out via our partnership team for how you can be a part of this.
Short term Fostering
Every parent desires to be there for their children. At ZCH, we know better than most that sometimes life throws us curveballs we did not expect.
Short-term fostering in Nigeria provides vital care for children whose parents are unable to look after them due to illness, incarceration, or life challenges. It offers a safe and supportive environment, ensuring children's needs are met during times of family crisis. Foster families play a key role in providing stability and compassion, helping children maintain a sense of normalcy.
This temporary arrangement gives parents time to recover or address their circumstances, with the goal of reunification. In Nigeria, where extended family networks are common, short-term fostering often works alongside kinship care to support vulnerable children. It highlights the importance of community-based solutions in protecting and nurturing young lives. ZCH is proud to have been able to support over a dozen families in this way, partnering with our educational partners to ensure they remain in school and are able to enjoy their childhood.
Scholarship Program
ZCH has partnered with collaborators across |Nigeria to pay the school fees of the most at need children, ensuring their learning is not interrupted and that they have access to a safe and nurturing environment for their intellectual growth.
Health Outreaches and programs
Our medical and allied health professional partners support the routine screening and treatment of ill children in our community. They also carry out outreaches and health awareness and sensitization programs as needed.
